The people who God has placed in your life aren’t just there by happenstance. Whether you realize it or not, God has placed you in a position of influence with those people. When we hear the word “influence,” we often think that we need to be in some sort of leadership position, but that’s simply not the case.
Your friends influence you, and in turn, you influence them. One of the Godliest things that you can ask for is the ability to be a positive influence in the lives of the people around you. God put you and those individuals together, meaning that He wants you to encourage one another. Ask God to make you a Godlier influence today.

Pray This Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I want to be a greater influence on the lives of the people around me for Your glory. Help me recognize opportunities to share Your Good News with the people I work with, the people I live with, and the friends I interact with on a daily basis.
I know that You have put each of those individuals in my life for a reason, and part of that reason is my God-given purpose to influence others. I believe that I am called to share the light that You have placed within me with others so they can see my good works and glorify You.
Open the doors that I need each day to perform those good works so I can point others to You. Help me to serve as a piece of iron in my relationships with others, so I can sharpen them while they also sharpen me.
Finally, help me to be a source of encouragement to the people I interact with. I know that life is hard and we’re all simply doing the best we can. Give me an encouraging word to share with someone who may be struggling. In Christ’s name, Amen.

Father, today I thank You for the people who make up my circle of influence. I know that every aspect of my life is beautifully orchestrated by You, and that includes the people who are such a vital part of my life.
I thank You for my friends who have come along side me in my times of need and served as an encouragement. I thank You for my family who you blessed me with at birth. I thank You for the opportunity to influence them in Your name.
Thank You for giving me a purpose and the ability to be a positive influence on others. In Christ’s name, Amen.
