Heavenly Father,
I come before you today with a heart full of gratitude for the precious gift of my spouse, just as Your Word reminds me in Proverbs 18:22:
“He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.”
Lord, I thank you for the love, companionship, and support my spouse brings into my life. I pray that our marriage may be a reflection of Your divine love and grace, as stated in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7:
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
Help me, Lord, to demonstrate patience, kindness, and forgiveness in our relationship, just as You have shown us mercy and forgiveness through Christ.
I pray, Lord, that we may seek Your guidance in all aspects of our marriage, acknowledging the wisdom found in Proverbs 3:5-6:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
May we lean on Your wisdom and trust in Your plan for our lives together. Lord, grant us the strength to face the challenges that come our way, knowing that with You, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).
May we always honor and respect each other, as Ephesians 5:33 teaches:
“However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.”
Lord, help us to cultivate a marriage that reflects Your love and brings glory to Your name. May our relationship be a testimony of Your grace and faithfulness.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
