Heavenly Father,
As I prepare to lay down in the quiet of the night, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude. Your Word reminds us in Psalm 4:8, “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” I trust in Your loving care to watch over me as I rest.
Lord Jesus, You are the Good Shepherd who leads us beside still waters and restores our souls, as mentioned in Psalm 23:1-3. I ask that You calm any anxieties or worries that may weigh on my mind as I close my eyes. Grant me the peace that surpasses all understanding, as promised in Philippians 4:7.
Holy Spirit, You are our Comforter, and Your Word encourages us to cast all our cares upon You, as stated in 1 Peter 5:7. I lay before You my concerns, burdens, and the desires of my heart. May Your presence bring me comfort and assurance throughout the night.
Lord, as I prepare to sleep, I remember the words of Psalm 121:3-4: “He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.” Thank You for Your constant vigilance over me.
I pray for those who are suffering, lonely, or in need tonight. May Your love and compassion surround them and bring them solace. Your Word in Psalm 34:18 reminds us that “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Thank You, Lord, for the gift of another day. As I rest my head, I place my trust in You. Keep me safe through the night, and may I awaken with renewed strength and purpose to serve You and others. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
