Child of God, the times that we are living in are incredibly difficult, often scary, and can leave you feeling like everything around you is falling apart. However, God’s Word is clear about the fact that He wants to give us His peace, which transcends the kind of peace that we can experience in this world.
If you feel like you’re life is in a near constant state of chaos, ask God for the peace that He wants His children to experience, and prepare yourself to find Him in the middle of your madness.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
Colossians 3:15 (NIV)
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
Pray This Prayer
Heavenly Father, I know that You are fully aware of how chaotic it seems like everything in my life is right now, and You know the amount of anxiety that I’m experiencing because of it.
Today Lord, I want to live out the commandment found in Your Word when Paul said that we should overcome our anxiety by taking everything to you in prayer, petition, and thanksgiving, so the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Help me to live that out constantly, living my life in a state of prayerful thanksgiving so that I can experience Your peace. Just because I may not be able to understand Your peace doesn’t mean that I can’t experience Your peace, and Your peace is everything that I need right now.
I’ll admit that there are times where it feels like the fear, stress, and anxiety that I’m facing are ruling my hear heart right now, but today, I turn over the rulership of my heart to Your peace. I will not be ruled by the bad news that I hear every day, or the things in my own life that leave me feeling afraid.
Instead, I will rest in the fact that You are with me, and that You will give me peace at all times and in every way. I ask all of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Thank God
Lord, today I thank You for the fact that I can experience a peace that I can’t even understand. I am thankful that the God of all Creation is with me every day, in the face of every situation, and in the middle of every fear-inducing situation that I may have to tackle. I am thankful that You are a God of peace who has my best interest at heart.
