At some point, we all need a breakthrough. Thankfully, in 1 Chronicles 14:11, David called God “The God of the Breakthrough.” Shortly after David had officially become the King of Israel, a familiar enemy, the Philistines, came up against Him. Completely surrounded by the same army of giants that had hated David since he killed Goliath as a teenager, David knew that a breakthrough was his only hope. Outmanned, outgunned, and outmatched, David prayed for the one thing that he needed more than anything else: a breakthrough.
Do you feel like you’re surrounded today? If so, the same God who proved Himself as “The God of the Breakthrough” for David is ready to bust through whatever is coming against you so you can enjoy the victory that He has for you.

Pray This Prayer
Heavenly Father, I feel like there are so many things in my life holding me back that I cannot possibly move forward. I know that You are not a God who focuses on the past, and that You are passionate about my future. Unfortunately, right now, it feels like there is nothing I can do to get to that future. Help me. I need a breakthrough. Your Word says that You are able to do immeasurably more than anything that I could ever ask or imagine, and that’s what I’m asking for today. I know that You are doing a new thing in my life, and You are making a way where it seems there is no way. Be my Way Maker, God. I am confident in You. I know that I am asking this according to Your will because You don’t want me to be held back by anything. In Christ’s name, Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank You in advance for what I know You’re going to do. Knowing who You are, and knowing How you operate means that I can praise you before I see the answers to my prayers. I thank You for the breakthrough that I know is coming. I praise You for being so wonderful to me. Thank You for the confidence that I can have when I approach You and for doing more than I could ever think or ask. In Christ’s name, Amen.
