The stress and anxiety that is such a part of your everyday life may feel like it’s more than you can handle, but that’s simply not the case. Today, you can rest in all of the promises found in Scripture that assure us that the God who saves you and keeps you is able to bring about a kind of peace and assurance that only comes from Him.
Allow the Holy Spirit to minister to You as you ask your Heavenly Father for the kind of peace that you need to calm your mind and focus your thoughts on Him.
Pray These Verses:
Philippians 4:7-8 (NIV)
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.
Pray This Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I know that You are completely aware of the stress and anxiety that I experience on a daily basis, and that even when I can’t find the words to describe how I’m feeling, You are there and understand everything going on inside me.
Today God, I’m asking that You help me to change the way that I view situations, and help me to focus on the things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy.
Father, You know the stress and anxiety that I deal with on a daily basis, but I know that Your Word promises me that You are greater than either of those, and that I am more than a conqueror because of my relationship with You.
Lord, there are times where peace seems like something that is so incredibly far away that I’ll never experience it again, but I know that feeling that way isn’t based on what You have told me in Your Word. Help me to find the peace of God that transcends all understanding, meaning that I’ll be able to experience peace and calm, even in the middle of what seems like chaos.
God, remind me of the promises of Your Word, promises that remind me that You are with me, Your Holy Spirit lives inside me, and that I have the mind of Christ. I ask all of these favors and blessings in Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
Thank God:
Father, I want to thank You for the peace that I know is coming, even if I don’t fully feel it right now. I know that Your Word is true, and every promise that it contains is Your promise to me.
Even when it seems like the anxiety, stress, depression, and other thoughts in mind are winning, I thank You for reminding me that You are with me, and that because of Your presence, I am able to overcome every thought that would rob me of my peace.
