As a child of God, you are an enemy to the devil. When he recognizes you as his enemy, he will do everything within his limited power to derail the beautiful life that God has in store for you.
Thankfully, we do not have to fall victim to his plots against us. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can live lives of victory over the devices of Satan. Today, ask God to protect you from the plans of the enemy so you can fully embrace the future that God has for you.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
1 Peter 5:8-9 (NIV)
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
2 Corinthians 2:10-11 (NIV)
Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven-if there was anything to forgive-I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.
Pray This Prayer:
Heavenly Father, today I ask You to protect me against the wicked schemes of the enemy. I know that Satan goes about the world like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour and destroy. I do not want to fall pretty to His schemes. Today, I fully submit myself to You and I want to be closer to You so that You can be closer to me.
I know that if You are close, there is nothing Satan can do to me. Help me to be alert and sober minded, so that I do not accidentally give the enemy any room to work in my life. His schemes are not new, and Your Word teaches me how He operates. He thrives on division, bitterness, unforgiveness, and every other trait that does not come from You.
I will not be outwitted, because I am filled with Your Spirit. In Christ’s name, Amen.
Thank God:
Heavenly Father, thank You for providing Your Word which gives me great insight into the schemes of the enemy. I know that You have provided the insight into how he operates and the things that he wants to do so that I don’t fall victim to his schemes.
Thank You for the promises in Your Word, especially those that speak about Your devotion to protecting Your people from the enemy. Thank You for promising that I can experience victory in the spiritual warfare that I am engaged in every day. In Christ’s name, Amen.
