Every day, you experience more blessings than you could ever possibly count. As humans, we tend to focus more on the “big” things, which leaves us missing out on the things that we deem insignificant. However, God’s blessings are every bit as evident in the little things as they are in those things that we consider more consequential.
Today, ask God to help you better recognize His blessings, even in the things that you may have never considered in the past. Scripture teaches us that there is a direct correlation between thankfulness and peace. If you’re missing the peace of God in your life, start by finding opportunities to be more thankful.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all human understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds; I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise of your name, O Most High.
Pray This Prayer:
Heavenly Father, today I ask that You help me shift my attitude to one that is filled with gratitude. I know that I am often guilty of overlooking the blessings in my life, especially those that I don’t consider “big.” However, Your Word declares that every good thing in my life is the result of Your faithfulness to me.
Today, I will commit myself to rejoicing always so that I can better experience the peace that You offer, peace that surpasses human understanding. Lord, I will give thanks to You with all my heart. I will tell others of your wonderful deeds, and I will rejoice and be glad in You. I will sing praises to Your name. In Christ’s name, Amen.

Heavenly Father, today I am turning over a new leaf. On this day, I declare that I will look for opportunities to be thankful. Thank You for waking me up today and giving me the ability to read Your Word. Thank You for the breath in my body, and the beauty of nature around me.
Thank You for the things in my life that I have forgotten to thank You for in the past. Thank You for my friends, my family members, and every other person who You have placed in my life. They are gifts, and I know that they are from You. In Christ’s name, Amen.
