Being Ethical in Body, Mind and Spirit
You can either do things your way, or do them God’s way. But there’s only one right way, and that’s His. In order to do his work accordingly, you have to understand how to actually do it.
Remember to always have Prayer, Faith, Love and Family in your Life and Spirit. These tips can help you do God’s work the way it should be done.
Understand What God’s Way Is
God’s way isn’t selfish, egotistical or full of greed. In fact, His way is the most selfless way there is. One example of selfishness is when someone steals another person’s wife or husband. Clearly, this isn’t the way of God. A good example of selflessness is when someone gives their Life to save another.
In this instance, the hero received nothing in return for doing the right thing which makes it a truly selfless act. With Faith in your heart, you can read and reread this Holy Bible verse to imagine a better world:
Luke 1:37
For with God nothing shall be impossible.
Be Humbled by His Presence
Being egotistical when you do the work of God defeats the purpose, because you make it about you. The fact of the matter is, doing something genuinely means you’ll get nothing selfish out of it. Further, you can be humbled by God’s presence by imagining He’s always watching you.
After all, when you feel like you’re being watched by someone, you’re less likely to allow your ego to take over. May God heal you with righteous Love and this Holy Bible verse:
Jeremiah 17:14
Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou [art] my praise.
Pray on a Regular Basis
Saying a Prayer now and then will help your Spirit be in the right place to work for Him. Your heart needs to be in the best place, so you can benefit others. Consider this powerful Prayer from the Holy Bible:
Romans 5:1-11
Father God, we thank you that your amazing unfathomable love has been poured out for us at the cross and poured into us by the Holy Spirit. We want to taste and experience more of the depth and breadth and length and height of your amazing love. Help us to walk by faith. Help us to endure in suffering. Help us to own our need of you. Help us to fully embrace your Son, Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. So, pour out your love into our hearts, in increasing measure by the power of your Holy Spirit, through Jesus Christ our Lord. It is in his name that we pray, Amen.
Spend Meaningful Time with Family
Plenty of people enjoy being with Family, but is the time they spend together actually meaningful? Meaningful activities may include reading a book, playing board games, saying a Prayer together at the dinner table or attending church services.
Additionally, the only way to make Family time matter is to genuinely Love and respect them, and to have Faith in God. Examples of activities that provide little to no value or meaning to one’s life include using technology, laughing at inappropriate jokes or gossiping behind peoples’ backs.
Forgive those who lack Faith in God and Love for themselves:
Mark 11:25
And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
Volunteer in Your Community
Doing charity work is one of the best ways to be selfless, and prove how much Faith you have in God. When you give selflessly to others, you have the unique chance to feel like a better person, and improve the lives of those less fortunate.
Furthermore, you can gain an enlightened Spirit, meaning and a sense of purpose in your Life. A few ways to be charitable in your community are volunteer for a local church, donate old clothing to a homeless shelter or join a community garden to aid in sustaining the environment.
Read this verse from the Holy Bible to have hope for the future of your community, yourself and your loved ones:
Romans 15:13
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Commit to Self-Improvement
Doing God’s Work can be one of the biggest challenges of your Life. For this reason, consider yourself a work in progress because nobody’s perfect. Committing to self-improvement not only improves your Spirit but also your health and well-being.
Only when you truly learn how to Love yourself can you learn how to genuinely Love others. Instead of overwhelming yourself by making a huge effort at once, try taking each day as it comes. He understands you need unconditional Love, since you’re only human. Here’s a verse for positivity:
Proverbs 17:22
A merry heart doeth good [like] a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
Although doing God’s work the right way can be challenge, it’s definitely worth the effort. Besides this, it’s important to understand that nobody’s perfect, but making personal progress through self-improvement will bring you closer to God. You can stay committed by having a positive mindset and gaining strength through Faith and Prayer.
