The passing of Pope Benedict XVI on December 31, 2022 came as a great surprise to the world. While most of the world wasn’t aware that the former Pope had been experiencing failing health which took a significant downturn through the Christmas holiday, members of the Catholic Church were even more stunned to hear that a Pope who was known for his humility and grace had passed away. Today, pray for comfort for those who are mourning the loss of Pope Benedict XVI.
Pray These Verses
John 11:25-26 (NIV)
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
1 Corinthians 15:42-44 (NIV)
So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable but it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor but it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness but it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body but it is raised a spiritual body.
Revelation 21:4 (NIV)
He will wipe away every tear form their yes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
