A Prayer for Personal Healing

2 Mins read

The God that you serve always has been, and always will be a healer. When you open your Bible, it doesn’t really matter what book that you read, it’s almost impossible to read through a large portion of Scripture without finding at least one example of God healing His people.

Child of God, no matter what type of healing You need today, remember that your God is a Healer, and He is more than capable of healing any thing that has robbed you of your wholeness.

Pray These Verses:

3 John 1:2 (NIV)

Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

Exodus 15:26 (NIV)
He said, “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.”

Psalm 107:20 (NIV)
He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.

Pray This Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I know that Your Word teaches me that You are a Healer. I also fully understand that healing takes on many forms, and doesn’t just apply to physical infirmities, as You are able to restore the health of my body, my mind, and my soul.

Today, I’m asking You for the same kind of healing power that David wrote about in Psalm 107:20 when he said that You sent out Your Word and healed them, rescuing them from the grave. I know that Your Word has power to restore, power to make whole, and power to heal, and that is the kind of power that I need today.

You told Moses in Exodus 15:26 that if the Israelites would keep Your commandments, that You would protect their health from the same infirmities that You released on the Egyptians because You are the God who heals. Father, I do everything I can to keep Your commandments, and while I know that I’m not perfect, I do my best to live a life according to Your Word.

I need You to be the God who heals me just like You promised to be the God who heals them. Father, I trust in Your healing power and I ask that You release it in my life, in Christ’s name I ask these things, Amen.

Thank God:

God, I thank You in advance for the healing that I know is coming because I have prayed according to Your Word. Thank You for being a God who is capable of healing today just like You healed throughout Your Word.

I know that You have never changed, and You never will, and the fact that I can still trust You to heal anything that is not completely whole in my life provides me with peace.
