God, Give Me Strength

2 Mins read

When we face seasons of adversity, especially those that feel like they last for a long time, it’s easy for us to feel like our strength is being drained from us. Over time, the strength that we once relied on dwindles, and we’re left wondering how we’re going to face another day. In those moments, it’s crucial to understand that our strength does not come from ourselves. Instead, we have a Source of strength that will encourage us and sustain us in the times of trouble. If you find yourself in a weakened state, ask God for the strength that you need to get through what you’re facing.

Pray These Verses
2 Timothy 1:12 (NIV)
That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet this is no cause for shame, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day.

Psalm 46:1-3 (NIV)
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

Psalm 121:1-2 (NIV)
I lift up my eyes to the mountains-where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Pray This Prayer
Father in Heaven, I come to You today needing strength. I feel like I have been in a season of hardship and adversity for as long as I can remember. It’s been so long since I have felt Your peace that I’m not sure that I even remember truly feeling rest. As my strength continues to dwindle away, I am asking You to be my strength just like You were for David. I am tired of looking to myself for help, as I know that I cannot be my own source. I know when I lift up my eyes, I will see Your help coming. You are my Source of strength. You are my hope. Today, I ask You to supernaturally infuse me with the strength that only comes from You. When my strength feels like it’s slowly draining away, give me Your strength. In Christ’s name, Amen.

Thank God
Heavenly Father, thank You for the kind of strength that only comes from You. Thank You for constantly serving as a Source of strength and hope, even in the face of what seems to be an impossible situation. Today, I am fully convinced that You are able to guard and keep what I have entrusted to You, and I’m entrusting myself to You. I may not know how things are going to work out, but I know in whom I have believed. I have put my faith in You, and I know that You will not fail me. In Christ’s name, Amen.
